If you wish to promote your workplace as a health promoting setting why not nominate a Health Champion or multiple champions within your workplace to attend a one day training course on becoming a workplace health ambassador. The aim of the training is to educate individuals on how to maintain momentum, overcoming barriers and sustain a focus on workplace health.
These workshops has been specifically designed by our dietitians for canteen workers, managers and staff to help inspire healthy menu options, plan healthy recipes and meals as well as meeting food and drink policy recommendations.
Our dietitians can provide you with a personalised nutrition policy to promote good nutrition within the workplace. This will include guidance for catering, meetings, snacks and canteens.
Workplace Nutritional Assessment
We can provide individuals in your workplace with an in-depth nutritional assessment relating to diet and lifestyle. Following the assessment our dietitian will evaluate nutritional status of each individual and provide personalised advice/information. An anonymous summary report will also be provided to employers detailing overall nutritional status of the workforce.
Let us take care of the management and delivery of a key health fair event within your workplace.
These events are designed to be fun and interactive whilst providing fundamental health and wellbeing information, signposting individuals to support and where health checks are incorporated, potentially identify signs/symptoms of ill health.
We can accommodate our health fairs either in an external corporate setting for multiple audiences or within your workplace exclusively for your employees.
You may wish to have us coordinate and facilitate a health fair in conjunction with a national/world health campaign, to mark a specific health related date, or we can coordinate and facilitate your own corporate or community health and wellbeing day, week or month.
We provide promotional material and relevant guest invitations (if applicable) to support PR and promotion around your event. The health promotion activities that can be provided include all or a selection from the following:
Interactive Information Stands
Interactive Information Stands are designed to provide information and education on a range of health topics, such as smoking, alcohol, healthy eating, physical activity, ergonomics, cancer awareness, healthy hearts and mental wellbeing/stress.
Our health promotion staff can provide a ‘pop up information stand’ within your workplace. The stand can include interactive health displays, leaflets and information covering a wide range of health related topics. Employees can also be afforded the opportunity to chat ‘one to one’ with a health professional regarding any health concerns they may have.
Stands can be upgraded to include one or more of the following:
Body Composition Analysis (% body fat, muscle mass, metabolism, BMI)
We can offer an in house ‘Weight Loss/Healthy Living Programme’ which is appropriate for individuals who wish to take steps to improve their wellbeing and make healthier lifestyle choices.
During the initial stage of the programme our aim is to educate the entire workforce by delivering a health promotion presentation on physical activity, nutrition and weight management. In addition to informative advice from our qualified specialists, individuals can avail of Body Composition Analysis or a full MOT health check (depending on the option chosen).
The findings of this analysis are useful for any individuals who wish to proceed onto the weight loss programme. We then begin an 8–16 week weight management / lifestyle programme with a delivery format that suits your company’s requirements in relation to duration and frequency. The aim of this programme is to provide individuals with the skills, tools and knowledge to make healthier lifestyle changes.
The lifestyle improvement programme includes the following strategies;
